Welcome

This is the homepage for Suture Lab. Suture Lab fully engages with paleontology's rich tradition of mentorship, including student coauthors on papers, research posters, and conference presentations and helping emerging scientists begin building their CV. In addition to attending weekly seminars on paleontology (usually lasting no more than an hour), students are instructed in the measurement and collection of paleontological data, most frequently on ontogenetic development of ammonoid cephalopods.

Many of our projects are completed by collecting original data and frequently utilize and build upon the LLS Method or Ammodata, two open-source resources for paleontological researchers to conduct science with minimal access barriers.

Participation is open to interested students, see our contact page for any questions.
